Inside Welsh Homes Exhibition - Ceredigion Museum

 Final preparations are underway for the opening of the Inside Welsh Homes exhibition at Ceredigion Museum this week.

The exhibition will offer a glimpse inside Welsh homes through time, using images reproduced from negatives and prints held in the National Monuments Record of Wales (the Commission’s archive) in Aberystwyth. The images will explore Welsh homes through the ages from the most humble cottages to the grandest country houses, and will be displayed alongside objects from Ceredigion Museum’s own extensive collections of domestic objects and materials.

There is a private viewing on Friday 25  May, and the exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 26  May until Saturday 7 July. We will be giving a gallery talk at the museum on the 1 June at 1pm, and are hosting a People’s Collection event on 7th July, when members of the public are invited to bring along their own objects, photographs and stories to discover, learn, contribute and share your story of Wales with the world.
